HiredTap Terms & Conditions

Welcome to HiredTap, an on-demand home services and business marketplace platform operated by XTEALTH Private Limited (“Company”, “HiredTap”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing, browsing, registering, or using the HiredTap platform, website, applications, or services (“Platform”), you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Platform.


1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age;
  • You have the legal authority and capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
  • All information provided by you is accurate and complete;
  • You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

If you use the Platform on behalf of a company, business, or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind such entity to these Terms.


2. Nature of Platform Services

HiredTap is an online marketplace platform that connects:

  • Customers/Users seeking services (“Customers” or “Clients”)
  • Independent service providers, professionals, businesses, handymen, technicians, and vendors (“Service Providers” or “Professionals”)

The Company itself does not directly provide home services, repair services, maintenance services, consultancy, or any other listed services unless explicitly stated.

HiredTap only acts as a technology intermediary facilitating communication, bookings, listings, lead generation, and payments between Customers and Service Providers.


3. Commission-Based Marketplace Model

3.1 Commission Structure

HiredTap operates on a commission-based business model.

Service Providers agree that the Company may charge:

  • Commission fees on completed services;
  • Subscription fees;
  • Lead generation fees;
  • Promotional or advertisement fees;
  • Convenience or platform fees;
  • Any other charges notified by the Company from time to time.

3.2 Commission on Completed Services

Where applicable, Service Providers shall pay a commission to HiredTap for every successfully completed service booked through the Platform.

The commission percentage, payment cycle, deductions, taxes, and settlement terms may vary depending on:

  • Service category;
  • Subscription plan;
  • Promotional offers;
  • Geographic area;
  • Business agreements.

3.3 Payment Collection

  • Collect payments directly from customers on behalf of Service Providers; or
  • Allow Service Providers to collect payments directly from customers.

Where payments are collected by Service Providers directly, the Service Provider remains responsible for paying applicable commissions or fees to HiredTap.

3.4 Taxes

Service Providers are solely responsible for:

  • GST;
  • Income tax;
  • Professional tax;
  • Business registration compliance;
  • Any statutory liabilities applicable to their business.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration

To access certain features, users must create an account and provide accurate information including:

  • Full name;
  • Mobile number;
  • Email address;
  • Business details;
  • Identity documents;
  • Address proof;
  • Other verification documents as requested.

4.2 Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of login credentials.

Any activity conducted through the account shall be deemed authorized by the account holder.

4.3 Verification

  • Verify identities;
  • Request documents;
  • Conduct background verification;
  • Reject or suspend accounts without prior notice.

Verification by HiredTap does not guarantee authenticity, legality, reliability, or service quality.


5. Service Provider Obligations

Service Providers agree to:

  • Provide services professionally and lawfully;
  • Maintain quality standards;
  • Arrive on time;
  • Use appropriate tools and safety measures;
  • Maintain valid licenses and certifications where required;
  • Maintain proper conduct with customers.

Service Providers shall not:

  • Misbehave with customers;
  • Use abusive language;
  • Commit fraud;
  • Demand unauthorized payments;
  • Share false information;
  • Violate laws or customer privacy.

6. Customer Obligations

  • Provide accurate booking information;
  • Maintain respectful behavior;
  • Make timely payments;
  • Avoid misuse of the Platform;
  • Not engage in unlawful or fraudulent activities.

Customers are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability of Service Providers.


7. Bookings and Service Completion

  • Service bookings are requests and subject to acceptance by Service Providers.
  • HiredTap does not guarantee availability of any service.
  • A service shall be considered “Completed” once:
    • the service is delivered; or
    • customer confirms completion; or
    • the Service Provider marks the booking completed and no dispute is raised within the prescribed period.

The Company reserves the right to determine booking completion status for operational purposes.


8. Pricing and Payments

  • Pricing may vary depending on service category and Service Provider.
  • Final pricing may include:
    • service charges;
    • taxes;
    • convenience fees;
    • surge pricing;
    • material costs;
    • visiting charges.

Customers agree to pay all applicable charges.

The Company may deduct commissions, penalties, refunds, or outstanding dues before settlement to Service Providers.


9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

9.1 Customer Cancellation

Customers may cancel bookings subject to applicable cancellation charges.

9.2 Service Provider Cancellation

  • Account suspension;
  • Penalties;
  • Reduced visibility;
  • Permanent removal.

9.3 Refunds

Refunds, if applicable, shall be processed according to Company policies and may be approved at the sole discretion of HiredTap.


10. Background Verification and Safety

Service Providers are fully responsible for:

  • Employees;
  • Workers;
  • Technicians;
  • Subcontractors;
  • Handymen working under them.

Service Providers must:

  • Conduct police verification where required;
  • Maintain valid identity records;
  • Ensure worker safety compliance.

The Company may request verification documents at any time.


11. Prohibited Activities

  • Use the Platform for unlawful purposes;
  • Post misleading or false content;
  • Violate intellectual property rights;
  • Circumvent commission payments;
  • Contact customers outside the Platform to avoid commissions;
  • Upload malware or harmful software;
  • Misuse customer information;
  • Create fake bookings or reviews;
  • Manipulate ratings or transactions.
